JIM ROHN EXIT Realty Corp. International is proud to announce the dedication of its most recent corporately sponsored home build. The ceremony took place on November 6th in Antioch, TN. Over the last few weeks associates from EXIT Realty offices across Tennessee and out of state, as well as volunteers from the local community have come together to help build a new home and provide a fresh start for single mom, Stella Johnson and her three children, Jaden (5), Christian (2) and Kadence (1). Motivated to see her children raised in a safe neighborhood away from crime and drugs, Stella applied to become a homeowner through Habitat for Humanity’s program which enables individuals to break the cycle of poverty through no down payment, interest free loans.
“It is such a privilege for EXIT Regional Owners, EXIT Agents, Broker Owners and Head Office Staff to align ourselves with an organization like Habitat for Humanity that offers a hand up not a hand out,” says EXIT Realty's liaison with Habitat, Christine Ireborg. After being pinned by a half-ton boulder for nearly a week in a remote three-foot-wide slot canyon in southern Utah, Ralston narrowly escaped death by severing his right forearm with a dull pocketknife. After applying a tourniquet, he hiked and rappelled for five hours through Blue John Canyon before searchers in a helicopter miraculously rescued him. Ralston documented the life-altering experience and his remarkable will to survive in his New York Times best-selling book, Between a Rock and a Hard Place.
Ralston graduated as Carnegie Mellon University’s top student in mechanical engineering in 1997, with Phi Beta Kappa honors for a second degree in French. He left his job as a mechanical engineer with Intel in 2002 to follow his passion for outdoor adventures in Colorado. Aided by radical prosthetic devices that he helped design, Ralston has expanded his adventures to the world’s great peaks, deserts, and rivers. He is the only person to have solo-climbed all 59 of Colorado’s 14,000-foot-high mountains in winter; the only person with a disability to have skied from the summit of Denali, North America’s tallest mountain; and in April 2009, he became the first amputee to row a raft through the Grand Canyon.

The Thousand Top Real Estate Professionals was announced on September 6, 2011 with four separate categories honoring the top 250 residential agents and agent teams for excellence in:
“The best individual agents and teams were nothing short of phenomenal considering the challenging real estate market,” said Steve Murray, founder of Denver-based publishing and communications company REAL Trends, which compiled the list. “Ironically, if you look at the top 250 in each category you will find that collectively, their sales volume and transaction sides held up quite nicely compared with the market as a whole.”
“Becoming a member of such an elite group as The Thousand Top Real Estate Professionals is an incredible accomplishment in any market, but what these associates did during these challenging times is impressive on so many levels,” said Marti Gallardo, vice president of classified advertising for The Wall Street Journal. “Their efforts topped 99.99 percent of the more than 1 million REALTORS nationwide.”
